π¬ Why Closed Chats Move to Snoozed
π‘ Why Closing a Chat Moves It to Snoozed When you close a chat in Search Atlas, the conversation is not deleted or ended permanently. Instead, it is automatically moved to a Snoozed state. This is intentional behavior designed to protect your conversation history and make it easy to pick up where you left off. A snoozed chat is simply a paused conversation that has been saved for later. This design means that: - Your full message history is preserved, including any context shared during the conversation. - The chat remains available in your chat list and can be reopened at any time. - Nothing is lost when you close the chat window, even if you closed it by accident. π οΈ How Chat Closing Works Here is what happens, step by step, when you close a chat: 1. You click the close button on an active chat window. 2. Search Atlas moves the conversation to the Snoozed section instead of deleting it. 3. The chat stays quiet in the background and will not send you new messages while it is snoozed. 4. Whenever you are ready, you can reopen the chat and continue exactly where the conversation ended. If you were expecting the chat to disappear completely, this is the most common point of confusion: closing a chat snoozes it, it does not erase it. π How to Find and Reopen a Snoozed Chat To resume a conversation that has been snoozed: 1. In the left sidebar, click Coworker. 2. Click Open chat window to launch the chat panel. 3. Look for the Snoozed section in your chat list. 4. Select the conversation you want to continue. It will reopen with the full history intact. Your other Coworker tabs, such as Overview, Connectors, and Channels, are unaffected. Snoozing applies only to the chat conversation itself. β¨ How to Start a Fresh Conversation If you would rather begin a new conversation instead of resuming a snoozed one: 1. Open the chat window from the Coworker section of the left sidebar. 2. Start a new chat from within the chat panel. 3. Type your question or request as usual. The previously snoozed chat stays safely in your history, so you can always return to it later if you need to review what was discussed. β Frequently Asked Questions - Why is my closed chat showing as Snoozed instead of disappearing? This is expected behavior. Snoozing keeps your conversation history safe so you never lose context, and it lets you reopen the chat at any time. - Will a snoozed chat reopen on its own? No. A snoozed chat stays paused until you deliberately open it again from the chat list. - Do snoozed chats expire or get deleted? Snoozed chats are kept in your chat history so you can revisit them whenever you need to. - I closed the chat by mistake. Is my conversation gone? No. Because closing a chat only snoozes it, your entire conversation history is still available. Just reopen the chat from the Snoozed section. - Can I close the chat window while the assistant is still working? Yes. Closing the window snoozes the chat without losing context, and you can reopen it later to review the response. π€ Still Need Help?
