## **What the User Agent setting does**

The Site Audit User Agent setting controls how the Search Atlas crawler identifies itself to your website. In the support case used for this article, the Search Atlas option was described as identifying the crawler as Search Atlas Bot.

The support response said the User Agent option is provided for the small chance that the Search Atlas Bot does not work well with a site. It also said the setting is not usually a major factor.

## **Which User Agent should you use?**

If the Search Atlas Bot works normally with your site, you can keep the Search Atlas setting.

If the Search Atlas crawler does not work well with your site, support suggested trying Google Chrome Desktop as an alternative.
