This article explains exactly where to go and what to do to start tracking keywords in Search Atlas. If you've been unsure which section of the platform handles keyword tracking — or how to confirm your keywords are active — follow the steps below.

# **📍 Where to Find It**

Keyword tracking lives in the **Keywords** section of the left sidebar. The specific tool you need is **Rank Tracker**, which is separate from the other keyword tools available in that section.

- **Keyword Research** — use this to discover and organize keywords into lists.
- **Rank Tracker** — use this to actively monitor keyword rankings over time.

# **🛠️ Step-by-Step**

1. In the left sidebar, click **Keywords** to expand the section.
2. Click **Rank Tracker** (path: Left sidebar → Keywords → Rank Tracker).
3. On the Rank Tracker page, look for the option to create a new tracking project or add keywords to an existing one.
4. Enter the keywords you want to monitor. You can type them manually or import from a saved keyword list created in Keyword Research.
5. Configure any project settings shown (such as target location or search engine) and confirm your selections.
6. Save or submit the project to activate tracking.

# **✅ How to Confirm It Worked**

After completing setup, verify that tracking is active by checking the following:

- Your keywords appear listed under your project in **Rank Tracker**.
- The project shows a status indicating tracking has begun (rankings may take 24–48 hours to populate for the first time).
- If you have multiple projects, scroll or browse the Rank Tracker page to confirm your new project is listed.
