# **🔍 Overview**

Some Wix-connected sites experience recurring publish-sync defects when pushing content from **Content Genius** to their CMS. Known symptoms include stale blog card images, delayed title and alt-text updates, and unexpected H1 page-jump behaviour after content is published. This article explains what causes these issues, how to document them, and how to escalate for engineering investigation.

# **⚠️ Known Defects and Symptoms**

The following issues have been identified for Wix integrations and are tracked by our engineering team:

- **Stale og:image / blog-card image:** The featured image shown on blog listing pages or in social previews does not update after a new article is published from Content Genius.
- **Delayed title and alt-text mutations:** The page title or image alt-text set inside Content Genius does not immediately reflect on the live Wix page, sometimes reverting to a previous value.
- **H1 page-jump after publish:** After syncing, the H1 element on the Wix page shifts position or duplicates, affecting both visual layout and on-page SEO signals.

These defects are a recurrence of a previously reported integration issue and are actively tracked in our engineering backlog.

# **✅ Steps to Confirm You Are Affected**

1. Open the Content Genius article you recently published to Wix.
2. Confirm the title, H1, and featured image are correctly set inside Content Genius before checking your live site.
3. Open your live Wix blog page and compare the displayed title, H1 text, blog-card image, and og:image (use a social preview tool or inspect the page source) against what was set in Content Genius.
4. Note any discrepancies — specifically whether the image is stale, the title has reverted, or the H1 appears in an unexpected position.
5. Record the URL of the affected page, the article title, and the date and time you published from Content Genius.

# **📋 Information to Collect Before Escalating**

Our support and engineering teams can investigate using existing evidence — you do not need to create new screen recordings. However, gathering the following details will speed up resolution:

- The full URL of the affected Wix blog post or page.
- The Search Atlas project name and the Content Genius article title.
- A description of which specific defect you are seeing (stale image, title revert, H1 jump, or a combination).
- The approximate date and time the content was published from Content Genius.
- Any browser console errors or screenshots you already have — these are helpful but not required.

# **🔄 What Our Team Does During Investigation**

Once escalated, our support team coordinates directly with engineering to:

- Link your case to the active engineering ticket tracking Wix/Content Genius publish-sync defects.
- Reproduce the issue using your project and page details.
- Push any available fixes or patches and verify the affected page updates correctly.
